Grants Management Office	http://research.unsw.edu.au/units/grants-management-office The Grants Management Office will be your primary contact while at UNSW. They provide support for research activities and are responsible for human and ethics clearance. You will need to be familiar with their services and how they can assist your research. On being awarded a grant, further information is required. You will also need to initiate ethics approvals if applicable and speak to the Ethics Unit which is part of the Grants Management Office. Research Strategy Office	http://research.unsw.edu.au/units/research-strategy-office The main role of the Research Strategy Office is to enhance the university's research performance and profile by working with faculties, research teams, and researchers to secure research funding from competitive granting schemes. These include ARC Discovery Projects, ARC Linkage Projects, ARC Centres of Excellence, NHMRC Projects, and NHMRC Partnership Grants. Researchers seeking funding from industry sources in the form of contract research should contact the Research Partnerships Unit. The Research Strategy Office advises researchers during the pre-award stage of grant application on the strategy of applying for funding from national competitive sources (‘right scheme, right project’) as well as providing strategic lay review of actual applications. This role is complementary to the scheme advice and compliance checking of applications provided by the Grants Management Office. The Research Strategy Office also assists researchers in applying for selected fellowships and prizes.
NewSouth Innovation	http://www.nsinnovations.com.au NewSouth Innovations Pty Ltd (NSi) commercialises research and technologies developed at UNSW.The NSi team work with UNSW researchers and industry partners from the earliest stages of research to ensure that technologies developed at the University have the appropriate patent protection and are commercialised to succeed as marketable products.
Organisational and Staff Development Services (OSDS)	http://www.hr.unsw.edu.au/osds/index.html UNSW’s Organisation & Staff Development Services (OSDS) offers courses to UNSW staff as part of its Staff Development Program. OSDS delivers flexible learning and development options for both individuals and teams. These opportunities are delivered through a comprehensive training calendar as well as through the provision of tailored learning and development solutions.

Funding Opportunities	UNSW researchers can access information regarding current funding opportunities through the Grant News email bulletin which provides up-to-date information regarding: new funding opportunities by discipline and category (includes travel grants) important research announcements upcoming training sessions and advice regarding specific funding schemes. The newsletter is distributed every 2 weeks to all subscribers and the latest edition will also be posted on this page every 2 weeks. SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) is a computer database with detailed and up-to-date information about thousands of government and private funding opportunities from Australia and overseas. The SPIN database currently contains details for over 19,500 funding opportunities, covering a broad range of subject areas and award types.
