As soon as you become aware that an investigator is leaving the university, advise the Research Grants Administration and Funding Office. Discuss the various options listed above with the relevant Research Grants Officer and work with him/her to collect and provide the necessary documentation to the funding body. Obtaining approval for changes to investigators can be slow, so to avoid delays to the progress of your project, treat the issue as a priority.
